Jan Frederickx "they are a bunch of fascist money grabbing cunts and dickheads and hopefully in next elections in October 2018, we can get rid of these leeches."

11 Questions with Jan Frederickx from Mince-core originators, Agathocles

1.                   Where are you from?
Cheers. I live in Geel, Belgium, in the north of Belgium, the flemish speaking part of Belgium.

2.                   What do you think about chaos magic?
Chaos magic? Never heard of it. Chaos Channel, I have heard of J That is killer Nippon noise punk. Check them out on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZCXsb0tvfM

3.                   When and why did you start playing music?
In 1985. Erwin (drums back then) and me wanted to make noise, to make extreme music. We just wanted to say fuck off to the existing mainstream music thing and wanted to create same noise as the underground bands we were adoring back then.

4.                   What was your first show?
Playing or attending? As for playing, must have been in 1986 in parent’s livingroom for very few people. First gig attending, must have been 1984.

5.                   How did you get into the genre(s)?
By tape trading and paper zines, the best tools in the 1980’s to educate yourself in extreme music and to spread the noise amongst friends. Killer times. Now kids are lazy with this internet thing, all is so easy, no efforts needed to find good obscure stuff. A pitty.

6.                   Three biggest influences?
HELLHAMMER, LARM and NIHILISTICS. But there are more then 3, like GISM, early NAPALM DEATH, WRETCHED, KUOLEMA,.....

7.                   How do you feel about the current state of the community or communities you’re apart of?
As a community of citizens in my town Geel,… well, Geel is a great city, very nice to live in and with very nice people living here. As for local government, they are a bunch of fascist money grabbing cunts and dickheads and hopefully in next elections in October 2018, we can get rid of these leeches.

8.                   What are some of your favorite new bands?
HAGGUS, ARCHAGATHUS, ALIGRINDTOR, DERISOIRE, ROTOCLES, SLUND, MURHASYYTE and many more.
Listen to Murhasyyte -- I met these youngster (4 young kids), 15/17 years old at obscene extreme
killer kids !!! and great band

9.                   What is an unforgettable memory you recall from being on tour?
Well, some memorable gig was in Guadelajara, in Mexico. We were playing in a boxing ring (for lucha libre wrestling) and there were too many people on this “stage”, so it broke down on one side and we all slide down into the audience, hahaha. With drums, amps, guitars, ……

10.                Three Favorite places to eat in your country?
A chinese resto in Geel, but they closed down. A “french frie” resto in Geel, with very little french fries and great sauce and some more expensive resto in Geel with some kind of experimental food.

11.                If you had to write your own eulogy, what would it be?
“The only smile I fucking get
Is from the piss in my toilet
Bye, bye, bye, die”

Hahahahahahahaha J
